When we began working with Georgia Public Broadcasting, they struggled to create purposeful content and lacked engagement on their social media channels. All marketing and production staffers had access to the profiles and posted about their programs and breaking news, but little else. Everywhere was brought in to develop a strategic approach to social media to reach all of their diverse audiences.
Everywhere audited GPB’s platforms and interviewed key stakeholders to understand their audience and social goals. We helped GPB understand that they were building a community of diverse, intelligent Georgians. We clearly defined a social media point person created a strategy with specific and relevant content verticals, and outlined a streamlined process for content creation/publication.
Since developing the strategy and building out GPB’s content verticals, their social engagement among their community skyrocketed, their following on Facebook grew by 58 percent, and their Twitter following grew 86 percent, both with only very small advertising spends.
